The
Organically cleansed , Cold Pressed, UNREFINED linseed/Flax oil
has remarkable properties superior to modern Industrially
produced Alkali REFINED linseed oil. The UNREFINED oil, once
organically cleansed and sun thickened, is equivalent to that
used by the Old Masters.
This
oil is used as an ingredient for painting mediums - it is not
used as a paint thinner or used PURE to mix with your paint, nor
to paint with alone or the paint will sag, flow excessively and
all details will be lost. This oil can be used in two ways for
the Calcite
Sun Oil Method
(1)
Use it to make ‘ Calcite Sun Oil’, in a mixture of 1 part
oil and 3 parts of Calcium Carbonate powder. Do not alter the
formula.
(2)
Use it to make the ‘ Viscous Emulsion” in a ratio of 3 parts
oil to 2 parts of Glair.
Other Old Master
Formulas: Of
coarse this sun oil can be used in other mediums requiring it as
an ingredient like balsam, sun oil and turpentine.
